Description
A set consisting of twelve turned wood pins and two balls, presented in a period cigar box. The pins and balls are finished in various colors, including red, green, blue, yellow, and pink. The pieces exhibit a time-worn surface. The set is contained in a King Edward The Seventh cigar box featuring lithographed paper labels. The interior of the lid displays a formal portrait of King Edward VII with the text KING EDWARD THE SEVENTH and MADE IN FLORIDA. An oval logo containing stylized characters reading S & F appears on both the interior and exterior lid. The exterior lid is further marked KING EDWARD THE SEVENTH MILD TOBACCOS. The sides of the box are printed with KING EDWARD INVINCIBLE and price points including 3c and NOW 2 for 5c. A partial blue revenue stamp is adhered to the front left corner, printed with 50 CLASS B SERIES 112. The front panel includes a block of text stating the cigars were manufactured to retail at not more than 5c each. No maker marks are present on the wooden toys themselves.
