Description
A large Navajo reversible micro-inlay pendant featuring two distinct stone-inlaid faces set within a heavy silver bezel. One side depicts a pictorial scene of a Pueblo village under a starry night sky with a full moon, using tiered blocks of earth-toned stones for the architecture and multi-colored stone fragments for stars against a black matrix. The reverse face features a stylized geometric motif, likely a Yei or Kachina figure, with radiating bands of turquoise, opal, coral, and mother-of-pearl. The materials are expertly set in a micro-inlay technique into a black ground, likely jet or onyx. The pendant is fitted with a large, tapered fixed bail. While no hallmarks are visible, the construction and style are consistent with Navajo sterling silver craftsmanship. 3×1.5
