Lot 498:
Description
This lot features two vintage plush toys. The first is a large stuffed character soldier manufactured by Parisi Industries Inc. The figure is constructed with a tall grey faux-fur shako hat featuring an orange fabric top and a black plastic visor. The face is composed of tan plush with black felt eyes and nose and a red felt mouth. The soldier wears a red plush torso with yellow synthetic cross-straps, blue plush legs, and tan fabric-covered feet with orange trim. A manufacturer tag is sewn into the leg seam which reads Parisi Creations and includes a teddy bear graphic. The reverse of the tag states the item is composed of 80 percent cellulose fiber and 20 percent synthetic foam, manufactured by Parisi Industries Inc. of Brooklyn, New York, with the body sewn in Korea. The second item is a mechanical wind-up monkey. The figure is covered in brown faux fur and is depicted in a seated position. It wears a pointed green felt hat and holds a pair of yellow and red plastic cymbals. A metal winding key is located on the back of the monkey, intended to operate the cymbal-clashing mechanism.
