Lot 499:
Description
This collection consists of seven pieces of vintage Christmas holiday decor, featuring a combination of lighting, handmade needlework, and collectible ceramics. Included is an eight-point multi-colored lighted star tree topper constructed with tiered, translucent faceted plastic panels in red, blue, green, and amber tones set within a gold-toned frame. The piece features an internal multi-bulb light set that is operational and comes with a black electrical cord and mounting clip. The lot contains two handmade cross-stitch wall hangings. The first is a red Aida cloth banner depicting three angels in primary-colored robes playing musical instruments, finished with brass-toned metal rods and a hanging ring. The second is a cream-colored bell pull featuring scenes and text from the classic poem Twas the Night Before Christmas, with images including a mouse, children in bed, and Santa Claus. Completing the group are several ceramic bells: a 1980 Norman Rockwell collector bell titled Off To School, which is the third in a series; a hand-painted Madonna and Child bell featuring a marbled grey exterior and relief decoration, marked on the interior Made by D. Hess 80; a matte porcelain figural bell of a boy playing a mandolin seated on holly leaves; and a matte porcelain bell decorated with a perched owl and a turned-style ceramic handle.
