Description

16×20 This lot features three vintage mid-century offset lithograph pin-up prints, likely produced as decorative calendar tops. The first print is a photographic color study of a young Marilyn Monroe in traditional hula attire, based on a 1946 photograph by Laszlo Willinger. It features a printed facsimile signature reading Marilyn Monroe in the lower margin. The second print is a commercial illustration by John Showalter, depicting a redheaded model in white utility wear holding a scroll titled Ad-surance for American Business. This print is signed SHOWALTER in the lower right and includes a publisher’s mark in the lower left corner reading LITHO IN U.S.A. ? L.D.C. CO. The third print is a photographic color study of an unidentified nude blonde model wearing black gloves and a choker, kneeling on a white faux-fur rug against a red background. Each print is produced on paper and features a single original hanging punch hole at the top center.
