3 Sporting Prints after Kouba et al
Description
22×30 This lot features a trio of vintage offset lithographic prints on paper, originally produced as advertising ephemera or calendar tops for the American sporting market. The collection consists of three classic outdoor scenes. The first depicts a flock of ducks in flight over a wintry river, plate-signed at the lower right L. P. Kouba for Leslie C. Kouba (1917-1998); this print is also marked LITHO IN U. S. A. and bears a copyright symbol for U. O. C. Co. The second print illustrates a fishing scene with a man, a boy, and a dog in a rowboat, plate-signed along the left margin Don Buhrmann and featuring a printed label in the upper right for Ad-surance for American Business. The third print shows a pair of hunting dogs in an autumnal field, plate-signed at the lower left J. W. Cooper. Each print is unmounted and features a single pre-punched hole at the top center for hanging.
