Description

18×13 and 23×30 A trio of vintage color photomechanical lithograph prints, likely originally issued as part of a large-format promotional calendar. The lot includes two identical copies of a Western genre scene titled The Roundup, after the original work by American artist Charles M. Russell (1864?1926). The composition depicts cowboys on horseback actively herding cattle across a dusty, high-desert landscape. Both prints feature Russell’s printed signature, his characteristic steer skull symbol, and the date 1913 in the lower left corner of the plate. Each Roundup print includes a printed title tab at the bottom edge featuring a stylized branding iron logo. The third print is a scenic landscape titled St. Mary Lake, attributed to John Clymer, depicting a panoramic view of the lake in Glacier National Park with a seated figure in a red shirt and cowboy hat in the foreground. This print also features a title tab at the lower margin. The prints are on medium-weight paper stock and were intended for wall display.
