Description
68 x 84 This hand-crafted quilt features a dimensional Cathedral Window pattern, a traditional technique involving the folding and stitching of fabric to create raised frames for colorful cloth inserts. The front displays a bold black framework housing a variety of jewel-toned inserts in shades of red, yellow, emerald green, royal blue, turquoise, pink, and purple. These colors are organized into a central diamond motif with concentric color-themed borders. The reverse side is constructed from a grid of square patches in dark navy and black fabrics, likely cotton or a cotton-blend. The structural seams of the backing are machine-sewn, while the decorative window elements on the front are finished with hand-stitching. This pattern is also referred to as Yeouijumunbo in some textile traditions.
