Description
70 x 76 This hand-pieced and hand-tied cotton patchwork quilt features a nine-block design. Each block contains a central radiating pinwheel or star motif constructed from various cotton fabrics, including stripes, ginghams, and floral prints, set against a cream-colored ground. The blocks are separated by solid purple and green sashing, with one vertical sashing strip featuring a multicolored floral print. The perimeter is finished with a wide scrappy border made of various printed cotton fabrics. The three layers are held together by hand-tied yarn knots in red, black, and green. The backing consists of a single piece of cotton fabric with a mottled blue and white appearance.
