Description
64 x 80 A vintage hand-pieced and hand-quilted cotton patchwork quilt featuring a grid of thirty square blocks arranged in five columns and six rows. Each block is constructed in a string or crazy-patch style, utilizing a diverse array of mid-20th-century scrap fabrics including small-scale florals, calicos, houndstooth, polka dots, woven ginghams, and stripes. The blocks are joined by a light pink floral print sashing, and the entire piece is finished with a solid light pink fabric consists of a plain, cream-colored cotton backing. The quilt displays utilitarian hand-quilting stitches in a variety of patterns across the surface.
