Description
36 x 36 A vintage hand-stitched reversible utility patchwork quilt dating to approximately the 1920s to 1940s. The textile features a double-sided design with different construction styles on each face. One side is composed of an organized grid of square and rectangular fabric patches in various prints, including florals, stripes, and berry motifs, interspersed with solid colors. The reverse side features a more irregular crazy quilt style arrangement of smaller fabric scraps. The materials include a variety of printed cottons and some satin-like fabrics, all joined with visible hand-whippstitching. The edges are finished with a pink fabric binding.
