Description
72 x 86 A vintage hand-pieced quilt top constructed from a variety of cotton and cotton-blend fabrics. The design is composed of geometric blocks including pinwheel and flying geese variations organized into horizontal rows. The piece incorporates a wide array of mid-20th-century printed fabrics, featuring small-scale florals, calicos, polka dots, and feedsack-style patterns in a primary palette of red, yellow, blue, and black on a white ground. Patterned sashing strips in yellow floral and green geometric prints separate the horizontal registers. The piece is hand-stitched throughout with visible interior seams and loose threads.
