Description
62 x 84 This is a hand-quilted patchwork quilt constructed from a variety of cotton fabrics. The front of the quilt features a dense grid of square patchwork blocks in assorted woven and printed patterns, including ginghams, plaids, stripes, florals, and a navy nautical motif with white fish. The color palette is dominated by navy, medium blue, cream, tan, and dark red. The central patchwork field is enclosed by a wide teal or seafoam green border, which is decorated with a hand-quilted cable or chain-link motif. The quilt is finished with a narrow, dark navy blue fabric binding. The reverse side is composed of a solid cream-colored cotton backing. The entire piece is hand-quilted, featuring a diamond pattern through the central patchwork section. Individual hand-stitching is clearly visible across the surface of the quilt.
