Description
70 x 80 A vintage American scrap patchwork quilt constructed from various printed cotton and cotton-blend fabrics. The design consists of hand-pieced blocks featuring pinwheel and geometric motifs. These blocks are arranged in four vertical columns, divided by vertical pink floral sashing and horizontal green and white geometric patterned strips. The fabrics include a variety of mid-century prints such as florals, plaids, checks, and novelty designs in a color palette of blue, pink, red, green, and brown. The quilt is hand-tied with colorful thread tufts visible on the top surface. The reverse is a plain white cotton or muslin backing, secured to the front with wide-spaced, visible hand-stitching in a grid pattern.
