Mid-20th C. Cotton Quilt Top w/ Circular Motif
Description
64 x 84 An unfinished quilt top constructed from various cotton and cotton-blend fabrics. The piece is hand-pieced using a running stitch and features a repeating geometric pattern of circular or wheel motifs. This scrappy project incorporates a diverse range of vintage textiles, including large-scale lime green and blue floral prints characteristic of the late 1960s and 1970s, striped shirting, calicos, plaids, and a small figurative print featuring a character in a blue dress. The composition is framed by a wide border of green and white marbled or batik-style fabric. The reverse side reveals raw seam allowances and the irregular hand-stitched nature of the construction.
