Description
72 x 92 This is a mid-20th-century American cotton quilt featuring twelve white fabric blocks set into a pink sashing grid with white cornerstones and a wide pink border. Each central block is decorated with a hand-embroidered floral bouquet tied with a ribbon bow, rendered in pink thread using line stitching and French knots. The quilt is characterized by dense and intricate hand-quilting. The white blocks feature a diagonal chevron pattern, the pink sashing is quilted with a scrolling vine motif, and the wide pink border is decorated with large, ornate circular feathered wreaths. The reverse side consists of a solid pink fabric which provides a clear view of the complex stitching patterns.
