Description
35 x 40 This is a mid-20th century American folk-style quilt top featuring a Quarter Fan pattern. This quilt top has been folded in 4 and stitched together and is now 35 x 40. The piece is hand-pieced from various cotton scrap fabrics, including solids, florals, checks, and polka-dot prints, many of which are characteristic of Depression-era feedsack textiles. The construction consists of individual blocks, each featuring a multi-pieced fan in one corner with a consistent pink center section. The perimeter features a solid light blue border with visible, irregular white basting stitches. This item is an unfinished quilt top.
