A vintage Allstate Regular Motor Oil 10-quart lithographed tin can, originally distributed by Sears, Roebuck and Co. The front of the can features a three-color graphic design in red, white, and metallic gold. The Allstate brand name is displayed in white block letters within a red rectangle, positioned over a red outline map of the United States. Below this, the word REGULAR is printed in red. The lower half is divided into red and white panels with a large yellow oil droplet graphic in the center that features a graduated scale. The text on the front includes motor OIL and promotional copy stating gives… economical performance. reduces… friction, wear. along with the volume markings 10 U.S. QUARTS and 9.463 LITRES. The reverse side provides technical specifications, identifying the product as WAX-FREE, NON-ADDITIVE MOTOR OIL, REFINED AND 100% VACUUM DISTILLED FROM SELECTED CRUDE OIL. It lists product benefits such as FIGHTS FRICTION TO REDUCE WEAR, CLEANS AS IT LUBRICATES, and KEEPS MOTOR TEMPERATURE DOWN.
