Description
This lot features two pressed glass covered dishes in poultry forms. The first item is a tall rooster candy dish on a pedestal base, featuring a bicolored ombre effect transitioning from a deep amber-red at the head and comb to a translucent aqua green at the foot. The piece is characteristic of mid-century designs attributed to manufacturers such as L.E. Smith or Kanawha Glass. The second item is a smaller hen on nest dish, with the lid depicting a seated hen and the base featuring a molded basket-weave texture. This piece exhibits a color gradient from a honey-amber tone at the head to a bright lime green at the tail and base. Both items are constructed from thick, pressed glass with visible mold marks.
