Description
An Ande Rooney porcelain enamel advertising sign featuring the iconic His Master’s Voice trademark for the Victor Talking Machine Co. The sign depicts the dog Nipper listening to a disc gramophone, rendered in white on a high-gloss black background. The gramophone base is marked VICTOR, with REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. appearing below the horn. The bottom of the sign features the slogans HIS MASTER’S VOICE and VICTOR TALKING MACHINE CO. The sign is constructed of vitreous enamel on a heavy-gauge metal plate with four brass-finished mounting grommets, one at each corner. The reverse side is finished in white.
