Description
This lot consists of two printed cardboard boxes of American manufacture. The first is a Hopalong Cassidy Puzzles box produced by the Milton Bradley Company. The front panel features a color illustration of William Boyd in the role of Hopalong Cassidy mounted on his horse, Topper. The box includes printed markings for the MB Milton Bradley logo, model No. 4025, and Copyright Wm. Boyd 1950. Manufacturer information at the bottom identifies the Milton Bradley Company of Springfield, Massachusetts. The second item is a Blackwells Genuine Bull Durham Smoking Tobacco display and shipping box. This rectangular cardboard container was manufactured to hold seventy-two 5-cent bags of tobacco. Various panels feature the brand’s iconic bull graphic along with text reading 1/2 Gross, 72-5 Cent Packages, 1 OZ, 5c BAG, and Standard of the World. The side panel identifies the brand as Blackwells Genuine Bull Durham Smoking Tobacco.
