Description
This pressed steel tractor-trailer set is attributed to the Structo Manufacturing Company, specifically representing their Metal Cargo Company line from the 1950s. The set consists of a blue cab-over-engine (COE) tractor and a long, orange-painted open-top trailer. The trailer features characteristic corrugated side panels and a rounded front profile. It is equipped with a fifth-wheel hitch for attachment to the cab and includes a pair of small metal landing gear wheels to provide support when uncoupled. Both components are constructed of heavy-gauge pressed steel and are fitted with black rubber tires. A partially worn decal on the side of the trailer reads METAL CARGO COMPANY.
