Description
Bed is 17.5 x 36. This primitive hand-crafted wooden pull cart, commonly referred to as a goat cart or dog cart, features a rake-side construction with vertical slats and a flat board bed. The piece is built from hardwood with iron hardware. The carriage is mounted on four wooden multi-spoke wheels, each reinforced with an iron tire. The front axle is steerable and linked to a long wooden T-handle for manual operation. A length of natural fiber rope is attached to the front of the frame. No maker marks, signatures, or manufacturer stamps are visible on the object.
