Description
This lot contains several pieces of U.S. military khaki service uniform clothing, typically associated with mid-20th-century summer or tropical "Class B" uniforms. The collection includes short-sleeve and long-sleeve shirts along with matching trousers. The garments are constructed from khaki-colored cotton or a cotton-synthetic blend. The short-sleeve shirt features a button-down front, two pleated breast pockets with pointed button-down flaps, and shoulder epaulets. The long-sleeve shirts feature button-down fronts, two breast pockets with button-down flaps, and shoulder epaulets. Inside the collar of the long-sleeve shirts are stamped markings indicating a neck size of 16 and a sleeve length of 32. Below the sizing information is the stamped Federal Stock Number (FSN) 8405-163-5845. This 11-digit FSN format was utilized by the U.S. military between 1953 and 1974. The trousers are standard-issue khaki service dress slacks.
