Description
This US Army officer service coat is the Army Green Shade 44 (AG-44) pattern, constructed from heavyweight green wool or a wool-blend fabric. The garment features a four-button front closure, four external bellows-style pockets with scalloped button-down flaps, and shoulder epaulets. The lower sleeves are adorned with dark green mohair braid, which serves as a standard indicator for officer rank on this uniform pattern. An interior breast pocket contains a woven brown label with white embroidery that reads REGULATION ARMY OFFICER’S COAT beneath an embroidered Great Seal of the United States. The coat is fitted with gold-tone metal buttons embossed with the Great Seal. The left shoulder bears the embroidered patch of the United States Army Europe (USAREUR), characterized by a blue oval with a red border, a white monument, and a crossed red sword with a yellow hilt.
