Lot 574:
Description
This group of United States military apparel includes an olive drab herringbone twill (HBT) utility set and a double-breasted overcoat. The utility set consists of an M1943 pattern shirt and matching trousers, both constructed from cotton herringbone twill fabric recognizable by its characteristic chevron weave. The shirt features a full-button front, a standard pointed collar, and two large, unpleated patch pockets on the breast with rectangular flaps. The trousers are made from matching HBT material. The olive drab trench-style overcoat is a double-breasted model from the mid-20th century. Its features include large lapels, shoulder epaulets, and adjustable wrist straps with button closures. The coat is accompanied by a matching waist belt that features multiple rows of decorative stitching. On the interior neck area, there is an ink stamp reading 10059 and a faded white fabric label.
