Description

This is a United States Army officer summer service coat, typically referred to as a khaki service jacket, dating to the World War II era. The garment is constructed from a khaki-colored gabardine fabric. The design features a four-button front closure, notched lapels, and shoulder epaulets. It is equipped with four front pockets: two pleated breast pockets with button-down flaps and two large bellows-style hip pockets with button-down flaps. Each sleeve features a single band of light-colored mohair braid, a traditional distinction for commissioned officers. The gold-toned metal buttons are embossed with the Great Seal of the United States. The interior lining contains a regulation label featuring an embroidered Great Seal of the United States with the text REGULATION ARMY OFFICER’S UNIFORM.
