Description
This antique primitive rocking cradle is constructed from solid pine with a warm, natural honey-toned patina. The piece features a traditional sleigh-style silhouette, including a high, curved headboard and a coordinating footboard. The side rails are tapered and designed with a graceful dip in the center. The assembly utilizes prominent hand-cut dovetail joinery at all four corners, a traditional construction method indicative of 19th-century craftsmanship. The cradle body is mounted on two solid wooden rockers designed for a gentle side-to-side motion. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible. Dimensions: Infant-sized cradle.
