Description
A trio of hand-carved and painted wooden shorebird decoys in the American folk art tradition, attributed to Richard Morgan based on visual style and market consensus. The group includes two smaller shorebirds and one larger specimen. The smaller birds are decorated with black caps, cream-colored breasts, and black beaks, with stylized white feathering painted on the wings. The larger bird features a buff-colored breast with dark stippled detailing, a long brown beak, and a distinctive blue patch on the wings. Each bird is mounted on a slender wooden dowel stand set into a natural wood log slice base with the bark intact. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on any of the pieces.
