Lot 92:
Description
Thisilluminated wall clock features a three-sided triptych design, produced in 1970 as a promotional display for the G. Heileman Brewing Company. The central square face is constructed of molded plastic, featuring large black Arabic numerals at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 positions and a recessed teal rectangular center. Two flanking side panels are angled forward and designed to simulate stained glass, depicting the blue and red Old Style shield logo, yellow wheat stalks, and the text pure brewed against a green and blue geometric background. The entire unit is housed in a dark brown, faux-wood grain molded composite frame with scalloped decorative edges along the top and bottom. Along the lower edge of the central panel, the text reads: G. HEILEMAN BREWING CO., INC., LA CROSSE, WISC. #0112081. A paper label on the reverse identifies the manufacturer as Embosograph Display Mfg. Co. of Chicago, Illinois, and includes a copyright date of 1970. The label also provides relamping instructions for an F8T5D fluorescent tube and electrical specifications of 125 volts AC.
