Description
Thisindoor electric light-up sign was manufactured for Michelob, a brand of Anheuser-Busch, by D and S Merchandising Displays, Inc. of Palatine, Illinois. The sign features a rectangular, slightly bowed front panel constructed of plastic with a geometric pattern in translucent amber, deep red, and brown tones designed to resemble leaded stained glass. The brand name MICHELOB is prominently displayed in raised, gold-tone serif lettering. Positioned below the brand name is the traditional Anheuser-Busch logo, featuring a bald eagle in flight through a red and gold letter A topped with a star. The sign is encased in a molded plastic frame with a textured gold-tone finish. The reverse consists of a black molded plastic housing with two integrated keyhole mounting points for wall display. It includes a power cord and a manual pull-chain on/off switch. The back of the sign retains its original paper manufacturer label, which is partially torn but displays Item No. 313-317 and a purple ink production date stamp of JUL 05 1988. Electrical specifications listed on the label include 120 V. A.C., 60 HZ, and .35 Amp. The label also provides relamping instructions specifying a F15T8/CW lamp and an FS-2 starter. A silver foil Underwriters Laboratories (UL) sticker is present, identified as Form 1, No. AL 186971.
