Description
This is a die-cast scale model of a McCormick-Deering grain separator, also known as a thresher, manufactured by Spec Cast. The model is primarily constructed from die-cast metal with red plastic pulleys, wheels, and black rubber tires. It features several moving parts, including articulated discharge chutes, an adjustable auger, and a series of rotating pulleys. A decorative gold-tone metal chain is looped over one of the central pulley mechanisms. The model is finished in silver paint with red frame detailing. The item contains multiple printed markings. The name McCormick-Deering is printed in black on the sides and on the top discharge pipes. A stylized, intertwined logo for the International Harvester Company (IHC) is visible on the front and side. A rectangular silver-tone plate on the side of the machine features technical data including: 22 INCH CYL 38 INCH SEP, CYL SPEED 1030 TO 1150, MACHINE NO C15274 D, and the warning EXCESSIVE SPEEDS ARE DANGEROUS & DESTRUCTIVE. The model is mounted on four wheels with cream-colored rims and black rubber tires.
