Description
An assortment of marbles featuring a diverse range of patterns, colors, and manufacturing styles. The collection includes multi-vane cat’s eyes, patch and swirl designs, solid opaque game marbles, and transparent clearies. Construction consists primarily of glass including opaque, translucent, and transparent varieties. Based on visual characteristics, the lot likely contains examples from various 20th-century American manufacturers such as Akro Agate, Peltier, Vitro Agate, and Marble King. Several specimens exhibit green and orange fluorescence under ultraviolet light, indicating the presence of uranium glass and other reactive mineral content. The collection is housed in a plain cardboard storage box.
