Description
An Adlake Kero railroad lantern featuring a clear glass globe embossed with ADLAKE, a circular logo containing a stylized letter A, and the word KERO. The lantern is constructed with a silver-toned metal frame that includes a protective wire cage surrounding the globe. It is topped with a vented chimney and has a perforated base for airflow. The lantern is equipped with a large, arched bale handle made of bent wood or bamboo with metal end caps. The interior contains a metal burner assembly and a visible charred wick. The metal surfaces show evidence of a silver-colored finish with areas of surface oxidation and pitting. Two identification tags are attached, one to the handle and one to the lower cage.
