Description

This collection consists of three early 20th-century cast iron still banks, likely produced by an American foundry such as A.C. Williams. The group includes two standing horse figures and one figure of a uniformed officer. One horse is finished in a dark brown coating and features the name BEAUTY embossed in capital letters on the left side of its body. The second horse is of a visually identical mold but retains a worn silver-toned finish over the dark metal. Both horses are constructed from two-part castings joined by a single flathead screw on the right side, with coin slots integrated into the ridge of the mane and back. The third bank is a figure of a stout policeman or constable, depicted in a double-breasted coat and a wide-brimmed hat while holding a baton under his right arm. This figure is finished in gold-toned paint and features a coin slot on the upper back. The policeman is a two-part casting held together by a single screw on the reverse.
