Description
Produced by Juro Novelty Co. of New York, this ventriloquist dummy depicts Paul Winchell’s character Jerry Mahoney. The dummy is constructed with a painted composition head, hands, and feet attached to a stuffed cloth body. The head features molded and painted red hair, painted side-glancing eyes, and a movable jaw mechanism traditionally operated by a pull-string. The figure wears its original outfit consisting of a green vest with tan lapels and pockets, tan trousers, a white shirt front, a red and white polka-dot bow tie, and brown faux-leather shoes with yellow cord laces. A printed label on the side of the original cardboard box identifies the character and the manufacturer, Juro Novelty Co. The vest retains a fabric tag featuring Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney. Height: Approximately 24 inches.
