Description
A5-gallon oil pail for Veedol Tractor Oil produced by the Tidewater Oil Company. The lithographed exterior features the red Veedol logo set within a cream-colored field and bordered by grey horizontal stripes. Centered below the brand name is the Flying A winged trademark, identifying the parent Tidewater and Associated Oil companies. Printed text on the front specifies the contents as Tractor Oil Heavy Duty for services ML, MM, MS, and DG, and includes the slogan The World’s Most Famous Motor Oil. The side of the pail features stenciled black lettering for S.A.E. 30 and the code B-H-8-1. The reverse provides a guarantee statement and lists the manufacturer as Tidewater Oil Company with locations in Los Angeles and New York. The top of the container is fitted with a metal bail handle, a tall pour spout with a screw-on cap, and a secondary vent cap embossed with the text Fill Vent Opening.
