Description
ten authentic United States military overseas garrison caps dating to the World War II era. This lot contains a variety of branch-specific headgear for the US Army and US Army Air Forces. The assortment includes olive drab wool serge caps intended for winter or service uniforms and khaki cotton caps for summer or tropical service. Several examples feature branch-colored piping along the side curtain edge. One wool cap displays the distinctive blue and orange braided piping of the US Army Air Forces. Another khaki cap features red piping typically associated with the Artillery branch. Other examples show green and yellow piping or remain plain for general enlisted issue. All items feature the standard folding side-cap construction. A handwritten tag is present reading #132, 10 WWII OVERSEAS CAPS.
