Description
Dan-Dee Potato Chip Company advertising tin, produced in 1961. This cylindrical lithographed metal container features a bright yellow ground with a removable lid and a wire bale handle for transport. The front displays the Dan-Dee brand logo in white block letters within a red and blue rectangular banner. Below the logo is the Hylo-ized trademark with a central star, followed by the words Potato Chips in dark blue script. The sides of the tin feature decorative white bursts with text including Lunches, Snacks, Parties, and Picnics. The base of the graphic displays the net weight and a simple ingredient list of potatoes, vegetable shortening, and salt. The slogan Flavor Blended to your Taste is printed in black script above a detailed manufacturer credit for the Dan-Dee Pretzel and Potato Chip Company of Cleveland, Ohio, with additional mentions of Empire Pretzel and Potato Chip Corp. of Buffalo, New York, and Berg?s Pretzels, Inc. of Leetonia, Ohio.
