Description
A decorative tilting spirit kettle presented on a custom wrought iron stand. The kettle features a globular hammered copper body with a contrasting brass collar decorated with a stamped scalloped and teardrop motif. It is fitted with a curved brass spout riveted to the body and a brass swing handle. The matching brass lid is topped with a simple spherical finial. The interior of the kettle is lined with tin. The kettle is suspended from a black-finished wrought iron frame characterized by a prominent twisted vertical support ending in a scrolled top. The base of the stand consists of a circular ring to support the kettle, held aloft by three legs with scrolled feet. No maker marks, stamps, or hallmarks are visible on the body, base, or handle of the kettle or the stand. An auction inventory tag is attached to the handle.
