Description
A collection of three vintage ashtrays of varying materials and designs. The first item is a copper-plated or bronzed baby shoe mounted on a tiered dark metal base. The base features an integrated circular ashtray well and a red felt-covered underside. The second item is a circular chrome-plated ashtray featuring a central pedestal assembly with three notched cigarette rests and a decorative medallion top. The underside of this piece contains a cork insert and is embossed with the following markings: REG. U.S. PAT. OFF., MADE IN U.S.A., and U.S. PAT. NOS. 98536 107703 OTHER PATS. PEND. The third item is a heavy, molded glass ashtray in a translucent green hue with a rounded, three-lobed freeform shape. This piece is in the style of mid-century modern art glass produced by makers such as Blenko or Murano.
