Description
This collection contains an assortment of vintage and antique decorative metalware and household objects. Included is a Wilton cast iron wall pocket featuring a central neoclassical urn design surrounded by openwork scrollwork; the reverse is marked with raised cast letters WILTON and the number 5. The lot also features a mid-twentieth century bronzed baby shoe desk accessory, consisting of a real baby shoe electroplated in copper and bronze and mounted to a heavy cast metal base with an integrated oval picture frame and rope-twist borders. The group contains a pair of small framed silhouette pictures under glass depicting Victorian figures in garden landscapes; both frames are inscribed LUDWIG on the reverse. Completing the lot are four primitive wire-formed tools with turned wooden handles, featuring heads constructed from twisted and bent wire in the shapes of a house, a cat, and two hearts.
