Description
This lot consists of two stylized hand-blown art glass figurines. The first is a large aquatic bird, possibly a pelican or crane, featuring a gradient of warm amber and topaz colored glass throughout the neck and body. The beak and head crest are rendered in a lighter yellow-amber tone, while the tail and integral swirled base are composed of clear glass. The second figurine is a smaller seated animal, resembling a cat, crafted from opaque white lattimo glass. It features an applied red glass collar with a yellow-amber bow, a yellow-amber nose, and black glass eyes. The figure is mounted to a textured dark base that is revealed to be deep cobalt blue glass on the underside. Both pieces feature ground and polished bases. No maker marks, labels, or signatures were observed during inspection. Larger bird height: approximately 13 inches. Seated animal height: approximately 3.75 inches.
