Description
This collection consists of an assortment of vintage pressed glass novelty items in various shades of blue. The group features several decorative shoe forms and a bird figurine. Included is a Victorian-style high-top boot in deep cobalt blue glass, decorated with the traditional Daisy and Button pattern. Another slipper in light blue glass displays a raised floral and foliate design, characteristic of patterns produced by Fenton Art Glass. The assortment also contains a medium blue baby bootie or slipper with a molded stitch border at the base. A small, solid-pressed blue glass bird, similar in design to mid-century art glass figurines, completes the group. No maker marks are visible on the pieces. These items are typical of mid-20th-century American glass production by manufacturers such as Fenton, Westmoreland, or L.E. Smith.
