Description
This collection of vintage pre-war O-gauge model train items is manufactured by Lionel. The set consists of an electric-style locomotive, five pieces of rolling stock, and a quantity of three-rail track. The items are constructed from stamped tinplate metal with brass and copper trim and accents. The locomotive is a Lionel No. 252 electric-style engine finished with a terracotta orange body, maroon frame, and black roof. It features two inset brass plates on the side panels marked LIONEL and 252. The locomotive is equipped with a roof-mounted decorative pantograph, brass handrails, and a front headlight with a bulb. The rolling stock includes: One No. 805 boxcar with a green body, orange sliding doors, and an orange roof, featuring brass plates marked LIONEL LINES and No. 805. One No. 803 hopper car with a green body and black frame, featuring brass plates marked LIONEL LINES and No. 803. One No. 807 caboose with a red body, green roof, and black frame, featuring brass plates marked LIONEL LINES and 807. One No. 804 tank car with a silver-finished tank and black frame, featuring brass plates marked LIONEL LINES and No. 804. One flatcar chassis with a black frame and four blue-gray upright stakes. The lot also includes a significant quantity of O-gauge three-rail track, comprising both curved and straight sections housed in two cardboard boxes.
