Description
A triple folding triptych vanity or shaving mirror dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The piece consists of three rectangular panels set within a light-colored wood frame, likely oak. Each panel contains a mirror plate with beveled edges. The panels are joined by metal hinges, allowing the side sections to fold inward. The mirror is designed for versatile display, featuring six small turned wooden feet at the base for tabletop use and two metal rings at the top of the central panel connected by a metal hanging chain for wall mounting. Small metal latches on the sides secure the panels when folded. The reverse of the central panel is covered in a decorative floral-patterned paper or fabric featuring a repeating motif of small pink and blue blossoms on a light ground. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the object.
