Antique Iron Jail Padlock w/ 2 Keys
Description
11 x 6.5 in. A large nineteenth-century utility-style padlock constructed of riveted iron plates. The lock features a traditional heart-shaped body with a heavy shackle. A rectangular brass escutcheon plate is mounted to the front face, which pivots to reveal the keyhole. The escutcheon bears faint, hand-stamped markings that are illegible due to surface wear.
