Lot 243:
19th C. Copper Hearth Kettle w/ Brass
Description
A 19th-century copper hearth kettle constructed from hand-hammered and sheet-formed copper. The body displays cramp-brazed dovetail seams along the base and side. The kettle features a gooseneck spout, an overhead stationary handle with brass mounts and a rolled copper grip, and a fitted domed lid with brass finial and flared collar. The surface retains an unpolished, aged patina with natural tarnish and heat oxidation across the body and base. No maker marks or hallmarks are present.
