Description
This group of decorative objects comprises a multi-colored glazed ceramic pitcher, a lidded ceramic box, a white ceramic puzzle jug, a green glass votive holder, and an amber glass cruet. The ceramic pitcher features high-relief applied floral decorations in yellow, orange, and pink tones against a mottled brown background, with a scrolled handle and four-footed base. On the underside of the pitcher base (photo 9), there is a black underglaze mark featuring a five-pointed crown positioned above a capital letter N, with the word CAPODIMONTE printed in a semi-circle below the letter. The light green glazed ceramic box has a lid shaped like a pagoda roof featuring an embossed character ? in a central medallion. The white glazed ceramic puzzle jug is designed with a reticulated rim containing multiple small circular perforations, a handle formed in the shape of a tree branch with budding nodes, and applied leaf and flower motifs on the body. A white paper hangtag is tied to the rim of the puzzle jug, and a small blue ink mark is visible on its side (photo 8).Measurements/notes: Beer stein 7 in. H.
