Description
A trio of decorative vases of various materials and origins. The first is a red cinnabar-style lacquer vase featuring a wide shoulder and tapered base. The exterior is decorated with intricate deep-carved floral and foliate scroll motifs over a geometric diamond-patterned ground. The interior and underside of the base are finished in a bright cobalt blue enamel, with a visible dark metal rim. The second is a tall cobalt blue glass vase with a flared rim. The body is decorated with hand-painted polychrome enamel, including a band of stylized figures holding hands above a base of leaf-like motifs, and a central band of scrolling patterns. The third is a small Italian pottery vase with a cream-colored glaze and sgraffito-style decoration. The central band features scrolling leaves and berries in green and maroon tones, framed by yellow and green bands on the shoulder and foot.Measurements/notes: Largest 10 in. H.
